SVOID – Live at Dark Conspiracy – S8 BLACK – February 17th 2018 AB

Last weekend, when the 11 killed the 10, Svoid performed another show in the series which occurred since their rebirth. Even if the setting and the company were a bit peculiar (the other 2 bands present on the bill came from a totally different musical background), it was still a very good opportunity for them to share their cursed crafts with the more or less unsuspecting audience.

The night was going to be a special one for the band, and that was quite obvious from the determination and the looks the quartet adopted before entering the stage.
Yes, I said a quartet because this time Svoid were joined by T on the bass, who relieved S from his bass guitar duties, allowing him to concentrate on channeling the gods of void by only using his vocals.

I did not catch much of the first band who opened the night, Dark Tears From Space, but what I could tell after listening to a song was that their Nightwish-like approach did not suit my tastes at all, so I decided to hydrate myself with some Hungarian beverages instead.

Cobra Fest day 1: Alice Null, Breathelast si Daniel Payne – 02.06.17 AB

Jesus Died in Bucharest – Alice Null and Spiritual Front concert review – Bucharest 20.05.17 AB

Last Saturday, Club Control in Bucharest hosted a very interesting Spiritual Front show. The Italian trio played 2 dates in this part of Europe, one on Friday in Sofia, Bulgaria and the other the next day in Bucharest. For the Romanian date, the promoter ( Final Step Productions ) selected the young band Alice Null to open the hostilities.

The concert was supposed to start at 20.00 sharp, but it was delayed a bit because of the soundcheck both bands had to perform. For Alice Null this was the most important concert so far so before the show the tension was sky high. Once on stage the Bucharest based duo immediately felt at ease and immersed themselves and the audience into an atmosphere worthy of a Twin Peaks episode.

Since the band had a limited time to play, they went through the 7 songs from the set list with very little talking, thus creating a depressive feeling. Alice Null‘s ethereal voice and the Alex Void‘s guitar parts, both enhanced by some space-like effects, filled the cozy Control hall with an impeding sense of melancholy. Rezident Ex in concert la Bucuresti (opening act – Alice Null) – Martie 2017 AB

Aseara in Club Quantic a avut loc lansarea oficiala a noului album al trupei Rezident EX, sugestiv intitulat Audio Doping.

Printre piesele cantate aseara au fost Reminiscence, In My Dreams, You, To Be Alive si Everything Stops.

Alice Null and Negru Latent concert review – Club Surubelnita November 2016 AB

Thursday night, on the 24th of November, two Romanian bands, one quite old and one a newcomer joined their forces and shared the stage together in Club Surubelnita.
The opening act Alice Null is a new band in the scene and for them this was the first time they played live, 2 years after starting up this project. The music they play is not commercial at all, it can be defined as a mixture of dark urban neo-folk with some eerie vocal and guitar passages and effects.
Earlier this year, in April, their first demo tape “Null and Void” was released by the Romanian label Valse Sinistre and since then the band has worked on many of the songs that will be featured on their first full length which will be released somewhere next year.
Since the band focused their whole attention on rehearsals and writing new material, the concert activities were put aside and they waited for the perfect opportunity to reveal itself.
It turned out that, just like the ouroboros is eating its own tail, Thursday night’s event was the last in this format for Negru Latent and also marked the debut for Alice Null. A chapter closes, while another one opens. Continue reading Alice Null and Negru Latent concert review – Club Surubelnita November 2016 AB

ALICE NULL – Video and Demo Tape Debut

Bucharest-based Alice Null have just released a brand new video for song Eclipse which will be featured on their demo tape Null and Void.

The demo tape will be released today, April 15th, by the small but dedicated Romanian label Valse Sinistre.

It contains five songs and it will be limited to 100 copies, which will come on a violet cassette.

The band was born 2 years ago, when Alice Null (vocals) and Alex Void (guitars) decided to join forces and create something different than the average rock/metal music you get to hear everyday.
The music the duo makes is some sort of dark, urban folk with eerie vocals and haunting guitar parts that together with the lyrics build a perfect symmetry, enveloping the listener in a strange, creepy atmosphere.
